Alternative dispute resolution in the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic

Abstract
This paper aims to analyse the degree of use of consumer alternative dispute resolu-tion (ADR) in the years 2017 – 2019 and the results of alternative dispute resolution for consumer disputes. During that period 7 ADR entities have been operating in the Slovak Republic. The integral part of the research is a comparison of this type of out-of-court settlement with alternative dispute resolution for consumer disputes in the Czech Republic. The methods used for the research include analysis, comparison, deduction and synthesis.
